Specialty Behavior Boarding for aggressive, anxious, and fearful dogs
Fear Free BnB
Behavior & Boarding
With over a decade of experience caring for animals in our home, including dogs with special behavior considerations and needs, we are different than your average boarding facility. With our experience, we specialize in managing and handling dogs who may not be comfortable or capable of staying in traditional boarding facilities due to being fearful, anxious, reactive, aggressive or who have a bite history. We are committed to working with you to develop a plan that keeps everyone safe, healthy, and happy while you are away!
Please note, we do not operate like doggy daycares or Rover sitters. Our set up is similar to a traditional boarding facility in that each dog has their individual space but different in that it is in a quiet, peaceful, home environment with 24/7 care tailored to each individual dog’s needs from a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant specializing in Fear Free management techniques.
Please note, dogs staying for boarding must be comfortably crate or kennel trained. We cannot board dogs with severe separation anxiety or containment panic. We implement consistent levels of safety and management between dogs with special behavior considerations. If your dog does not meet the requirements for staying with us, we are happy to refer you to other sitters.

To be a candidate for boarding with us:
Every dog boarding with us needs to be comfortable in a kennel or a crate as well as fully potty trained. If your dog is human-reactive or aggressive, muzzle training may be a requirement (depending on severity) for their safety as well as ours. If your dog is not comfortable with this, we can:
Set up training sessions to focus on the skills needed
Consult with your veterinarian on medications to aid in lowering anxiety
Refer you to a veterinary behaviorist for a personalized medication plan
To get your dog on our boarding schedule:
We always do a trial-day before the actual boarding stay. This is to make sure your dog can settle in here and we can successfully provide them with a low-stress experience. If they do have a hard time during the trial-day, we have time to adjust the environment, management strategies, consult with your veterinarian or a veterinary behaviorist on medication adjustments to help reduce their anxiety, and/or set up training sessions. Pickup and drop-off times are between 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Weekends are available on a limited basis.
Please reach out to schedule your trial day as soon as possible. Due to being in a home environment we limit our boarding availability to 3 families at a time and our schedule fills up fast! Additionally, all boarding availability is subject to change based on our personal schedule.
